ELIMU HII INATOSHELEZA KWELI?

Salamu wanablogu!

ila matarajio haya kweli sio yatafanikiwa...?

tutafika kweli?

OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE & ICT FUTURE IN TANZANIA

Hello bloggers!

I'm sure everyone of you knows or have heard about open source softwares such as linux operating systems, joomla CMS or mambo CMS , apache and so many more.

For the past a year, I have been struggling to shift to linux operating system in particular Fedora ( a RED HAT LINUX PROJECT) which is open source software and yet, it's perfomance, reliability, scalability ,it is more or less the same as that of proprietary software such as Microsoft Windows Operating systems.

Linux as many other open source software is free of charge, this means u cannot buy it as the way you buy proprietary software rather than u can download load it free of charge from the internet or for other distributions of linux such as UBUNTU (based in South Africa) the ship free cd's!!! ** order your free cds now***

I'm sure alot of money has been used by the government, institutions and other ICT local companies try to acquire such proprietary softwares which their values are the same as those of open source softwares.

Considering, the economical status of our country, it is more convinient for such institutions to acquire open source software which are of free of charge and their perfomance are more or less the same as the proprietary softwares.

Therefore, I strong recommend local institutions such as schools, non-profit organisation and other governmental as well as NGO's to acquire open source software for better ICT future.

Tuendelee kublog!
